The first globally-available device from with Quad HD display a well-known manufacturer, the LG G3, is putting to shame the plethora of flagships that sport displays with a mere resolution of 1080 x 1920. The 5.5-inch screen of the G3 comes with a spectacular resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, and although some apps and games are not yet compatible with the device, Google wants to make sure that the undoubtedly-coming crop of Quad HD devices can make full use of their displays.

If you are a proud owner of an LG G3, then rejoice, as YouTube now allows you to behold spectacular 1440p videos on your device. This nifty functionality arrived via a recent update and if you are flaunting a G3 flagship, but unable to watch such videos, then you should probably wait for said update to land on your device. Naturally, non-G3 devices won't see such an option in YouTube's recently-added video quality menu.

Fleksy has received a pretty substantial update that brings in support for two widely requested languages: Arabic and Chinese. By adding in both of these languages, Fleksy opens itself up to be much more competitive in an international market, especially China’s rapidly growing smartphone market.

If you use Fleksy in any other language, these new languages might not be such a big deal, so to make up for it Fleksy has added four new premium themes for the keyboard. The four themes, Key Lime, Sunflower, Sun Kiss, and Blood Red, all look pretty much like what you would expect from the names. But hey, new colors and customization options are always nice.

One of the coolest selling points on the HTC One M8 is the Duo Camera setup, which lets users snap photos then apply depth of field focus and other effects after the fact. It’s a fantastic feature that, until now, has been limited to the HTC One M8 and the newer HTC Butterfly J. But thanks to an update to the HTC Gallery app on the Play Store, you’ll now be able to share your photos on the internet and allow others to toy with the photos, including adjusting depth of field focus and other post-processing effect.
Since all of the heavy lifting and information processing is done by HTC’s two cameras, it’s a simple trick for anyone else to adjust photos. It’s very cool that HTC has opened this up to anyone, regardless of whether or not they own an HTC device, and it’s bound to be a hit with social media sharing online.

If you have a Nexus 5 or a 2013 Nexus 7, you’ll now be able to flash an updated version of Google’s Android L Developer Preview. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be too much added to these builds that isn’t currently available, but it does include the necessary bits and pieces for the Google Fit Platform.

There might also be a few stability fixes and the like, but don’t expect much else.
